Patented Auto-Monitor Every 5 Seconds
Our newer GFCI plug model, G1215PM2, features a patented auto-monitor function that conducts a self-test every 5 seconds. This exceeds the UL standard of a 3-hour self-test frequency, ensuring the GFCI is constantly working to protect people from electrocution.
0.025 Seconds to Break the Circuit
In the event of a leakage current or ground-neutral fault, this GFCI plug can automatically break the circuit within 0.025 seconds (25ms), a critical safety feature.
Long Service Life and Always Safe
Designed to withstand 20kV, 10kA voltage surges (exceeding the UL943 requirement of 6kV, 10kA), the GFCI plug has a long service life and can operate safely within a temperature range of -31°F to 150.8°F (-35°C to 66°C). Additionally, it boasts surge protection and lightning protection, capable of withstanding a 6-kilovolt test.
Rigorous Factory Testing
This GFCI plug has undergone extensive factory testing, with over 6,000 cycles performed – twice the UL standard. It is also UL listed, strictly tested to or exceeding UL943 requirements.
How to Choose and Install the GFCI Plug
When selecting a GFCI plug from ELEGRP, consider factors such as the number of prongs (2-prong or 3-prong), reset mechanism (automatic or manual), and whether it is a GFCI plug or an in-line GFCI device. Proper installation involves removing insulation, connecting wires, and securing the strain-relief clamp.
Comprehensive Testing and Troubleshooting
To ensure the GFCI plug is functioning correctly, follow the step-by-step testing instructions provided. If the GFCI plug keeps tripping, it may indicate an electrical leakage issue, and professional assistance should be sought to resolve the problem and maintain safety.
